AFTERMATH of Cortaca

So this past weekend as stated in my previous blog was THEE CORTACA WEEKEND. And i must say it had to be the best weekend i have had this whole semester hands down. I'll give a little play by play as to how everything went down. Friday my friends came up and we all started the festivities around 6pm or so. And by 11pm everyone had all their friends up and my house was just filled with a sea of people. We all know each other for the most part which makes the experience so much better. Around 12 or so that night we all headed to the bars where you could not move one inch for the life of you. I never seen so many people packed into all the bars here in Cortland except for this weekend every year. I want to say that the population doubled easily and the revenue brought in by all the visiting people was way over normal. A new bar opened up as well called the stone lounge, where i had a bar party that started at 8am Saturday morning and ended at about 10:30am. Right after we all caught a bus to the football game and honestly we had more fans there then they did. The game was the best part of my weekend probably. After coming right from the bars and going into an atmosphere of all Cortland State students and fans i felt so much energy. And the hill that all of us were standing on made it feel like we ran the show even though we lost the football game. I'll tell you one thing however, we did win in regards to school and team spirit. With a whole bunch of made up shirts degrading Ithaca, and any fan that dared to walk through us fans was absolute ludicrous. No Ithaca fan was safe in our part of the stadium. With kids being hit with bottles and dirt piles, it had to be the funniest thing i have ever seen. And the cops there couldn't even really do anything because there were so many of us.
As the game came to an end we all hopped back on the bus and started our mockery of Ithaca again and got our buses pelted with apples beer cans and anything they could find. But fear not fellow Cortland students, we to did our damage, felt like i was in a spike Lee movie doing a drive by but in a huge yellow bus. In our return back into C-Land, we all got ready for more parties and after that i couldn't really tell what happened. I woke up Sunday morning at 9am to my friends packing everything up to go back home, laying on top of a keystone box in my hallway. Quite funny when you see some other sleeping in the bathtub. All in all this weekend was great and i can't wait for next semester when Monroe fest or as we all know it to be called Spring fling comes back into action. So until next time. Love Peace and Chicken grease.
